Hello Families,
We want to discuss the importance of ensuring your child arrives at school on time and attends regularly. This is a critical aspect of their education.
Our daily schedule is as follows:
- School doors open at 7:20 AM.
- Instruction begins promptly at 7:40 AM.
- Tardiness is recorded starting at 7:45 AM.
- Breakfast service concludes at 8:00 AM.
Unfortunately, by 8:30 AM today, we had more than 50 students arrive late. This is an ongoing concern at our school, and it places additional challenges on our teachers. They must manage their instructional plans while also accommodating students who arrive late or have been absent. This situation is becoming increasingly overwhelming, and we need your support.
When a student arrives late, they miss essential elements such as breakfast, morning meetings, and phonics instruction. Phonics is a crucial foundation for reading, and our goal is to ensure that all students read at or above their grade level. However, attendance issues, including tardiness, hinder our progress.
Similarly, when students are frequently picked up early, they miss important lessons. The school day is designed to run until 3:10 PM. To prioritize uninterrupted learning, we will release students early only when a parent or guardian is physically present in the front office and has provided authorization.
We kindly request your assistance in ensuring your child attends school every day and arrives on time. This commitment will greatly contribute to their academic growth and success.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
We appreciate your support!
