Youth for Success
Youth 4 Success after school workshops are created for 21th century student, and use creative arts to improve writing and reading skills with programs like trap mindfulness, flocabulary, and slam poetry and rap. Students can participate in book club, creative writing lessons and more!
Student Engineers Educating Kids
This is a program where University of Texas science and engineering students come and visit for 10 weeks with ten fourth and fifth grade students. Each week, students complete an engineering project and discuss STEM careers. The program culminates in an exciting trip to UT!
Students Expanding Austin Literacy
Students from the University of Texas at Austin with training in literacy tutoring meet with first through third graders on a weekly basis throughout the semester. Each mentor and student are paired for the entire semester, with the mentor focused on engaging students in reading as well as improving their skills.
Boy Scouts
Boy Scouts Pack 541 operates from Norman-Sims Elementary!
