School Supplies

We're thrilled to share the exciting news that our generous community partners at DELL, St. James Ep., and St. David's Ep. have stepped up to donate school supplies for ALL students at Norman-Sims Elementary. Each child will receive a backpack filled with essential school supplies. This means that you do not have to purchase backpacks or basic school supplies!

We have simplified our school supply list to the following items: CLICK HERE FOR THE LIST. 


Backpacks with all school supplies will be passed out to all fully-enrolled Norman-Sims students at our Meet the Teacher event on August 11th (2:30-5:00).

Dress Code

Norman-Sims Elementary follows the AISD dress code set forth by the Board of Trustees. Students should wear clothes and shoes that they can run, jump, climb, sit on the floor, and play in for daily recess. Flip flops, slippers and slides should not be worn to school. 

Additionally, clothes must be worn in a way that the students’ main body is fully covered. Please note that hats, caps, hoodies may not be worn inside the building (except for religious requirements).
